2016-2020

With a steadily improving pipe corps, the band began to see the results of P/M Brian Smith’s efforts, placing 1st at our ‘home’ competition of Colchester for the first time in 20 years.

Soon after this John Young stepped up as Pipe Major, leading the band through a turbulent patch as several members left to focus on their families. Keeping a passion for playing and enjoyment of each other’s company at the heart of the band we took some time to rebuild, just as the pandemic arrived.
